Henri Marc Paris Boulle Mantel Clock

Description

An impressive inlaid mantel clock by Henri Marc of Paris. An ebonised case with brass and red tortoishell boulle inlaid front. Gilt case mounts in the rococo style. An enamel dial with Roman numerals and ornate blued steel hands signed 'HY Marc, Paris'. A well cast gilt dial bezel surround bevelled glass. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell signed H Marc with the original matching numbered pendulum. Circa 1890.
