George V Silver Double Trough-shaped Stamp Box by Levi & Salaman, Birmingham 1924

1900 - 1920
Description

This silver double stamp box has a lovely semi-circular form. The glazed lid encasing two original stamps. The hinged cover is lined internally with purple leather. It is raised on four ball feet and has a gilt interior.

Hallmarks:

L&S for Levi & Salaman

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "z" for 1924.

Dimensions:

Length: 6cm / 2.1 inches.

Width: 3.5cm / 1.3 inches.

Height: 2.5cm / 1 inch.

Condition:

Very good.

Strong hinge.

No spring mechanism

No repairs.

No dents.
