Antique Victorian Stripped Pine Cupboard Chest

A charming yet useful kitchen cupboard.

Here we have this rare Victorian (circa 1880) solid Pine cupboard chest which has been stripped. This simplistic cupboard features 3 descending drawers, with a useful cupboard to the right complete with a shelf in the centre. The cupboard chest has a simple rear up-stand, dovetailed drawers with simple turned knobs and stands proudly on a simple plinth which is raised on turned bun feet. The drawers are in great condition, smoothly operating with little to no drawer wear and are clean inside. The drawer runners have been repaired and rebuilt as necessary so this chest has no drawer drop when opened and will be good for many more years of use.

The cupboard has a simple yet attractive style and is finished in a tinted antique Pine wax giving a beautiful colour. This cupboard has been carefully cleaned and waxed, maintaining patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen from the wax.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents. However, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
