Description

A lovely set of eight antique mahogany dining chairs. We date these dining chairs to the early 20th century.

The set comprises six hand chairs and two carvers.

The chairs sit on square section legs and have an H stretcher.

The backrests have a lovely pierced splat back design.

The seat pads are padded and are upholstered in a green tapestry with a floral design.

The chairs are 37" (94cm) high with a backrest height of 19.5" (50cm), a seat height of 17.5" (44cm), a width of 21" (53cm) and a depth of 21" (53cm).

The carver is 39” (99cm) high with a backrest height of 21” (54cm), a seat height of 18" (46cm), a width of 24" (61cm) and a seat depth of 18.5" (42cm)

This lovely set of dining chairs remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor marks to some of the seat pads as can be seen in the pictures from past use, please note that we have not attempted to have them professionally cleaned. One carver has a couple of lighter spots to an arm rest.

This remains a very stylish and elegant set of dining chairs. They will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
