Here is an imposing carved stone head of an old bearded gentleman - perhaps a depiction of a river god or Old Father Time himself ! Carved in Sandstone, he is a corbel from a building and is intended to look down upon us all ( which he does very elegantly!)

Its very difficult to pinpoint the exact date of carved stone, but this head must date from the 19th Century at the latest.

He bears the expected weathering of having stood guard over a property for some time, but he'd be a striking and handsome addition to anyone's household.
