Antique English Inlaid Walnut Stationery Box C.1890

Description

A wonderful desk-top Victorian writing box made from a lovely piece of Walnut with it's inky black lines creating the most stunning decorative grain.

The sloped top of the box is beautifully inlaid with a central oval fan inlay and additional fan inlays to each corner.

The brass shield shaped escutcheon to the front houses the working tasseled key. Once opened the fully fitted interior can be fully appreciated with beautiful Satinwood dividers.

Excellent condition measuring 9 1/2" wide x 5 3/4" deep x 6 1/4" tall at rear.
