Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1930s.
In a beautifully figured oak the door has a linen fold pattern to the front and it opens to reveal a single removable shelf to the interior. It has a small raised gallery to the back and lovely polished iron drop handles. The back is stamped with the “two cheese” marks; the logo for the Utility Furniture Advisory Committee.
