Original Antique Art Nouveau Copper Fireplace Fender.

An Antique Art Nouveau Copper Fireplace Fender.

We bring to you this rare excellent condition fine quality early Edwardian C1890 fire place fender made from copper in the classical Art Nouveau style. This ornate fender features 4 pressed oval pierced plaques to the front complete with a square bolt and strapped corner construction, finishing to a weighted base with a straight copper lip. This fender is copper front and rear with a sloping rear face to keep ash inside the fire. Either side of the rear features 3 round pressed details which is quite unique.

This lovely original fire fender is ideal for any period property with an open fireplace or for purely display or decoration. We have sympathetically restored this item by carefully cleaning and polishing it to bring out the natural brass shine.

Please note; This item is in very good condition for its age but will obviously have dents and imperfections here and there due to the age of the item. However, we feel that this adds to the charm and authenticity of the item with it being antique.
