Antique Welsh Oak Linen Press Cupboard

An attractive early 19th century antique Welsh oak linen press cupboard. To the top of the antique Welsh oak linen press is a two door blind panel cupboard, flanked by decorative pilasters, with a moulded cornice above. The cupboard doors open to reveal a spacious single shelf interior. To the base of the antique Welsh oak linen press is an arrangement of two short over two long drawers, each with wooden knobs. Raised on decorative bracket feet. Separates into two parts for ease of transport/movement. Complete with working lock and key.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and a small split to the front (pictured), further marks, fading and shrinkage to the sides (pictured). The top two drawer knobs are loose fitting, however still functional. There is also a small notch missing from the one side and a repair to the cornice (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the product. The antique Welsh oak linen press cupboard remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Separates into two parts for ease of transport/movement. Complete with working lock and key. Overall, a well presented antique cupboard.
