Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Victorian era.

This What Not is constructed from solid Mahogany incorporating a finely cut fretwork gallery top, joined with finely cut dovetails which are on show to the rear. The stand has the most sought after original colour with its original French polished finish where little to no fading is present and as a sign of its quality even the rear is beautifully polished.

The What Not is constructed with 3 display shelves supported by the most beautiful opposing barley twists which all subtly descend in size to the bottom which is very unique. The lowest shelf features a finely constructed dovetailed drawer which is clean inside, completed with its original finely turned knobs. As a testament to the items quality the drawer fits and operates perfectly placed upside-down, which shows a truly square drawer and carcass. The Whatnot stands proudly on its 4 finely turned legs with its original collins branded solid brass polished cup castors on brown porcelain wheels, which all work and are in perfect condition. There are no breaks, movement or play in the What Nots joints and the tops are flat with no bowing or twisting.

Please note this item is in beautiful condition for its age as shown in the photographs below however being an antique there are some small repairs and imperfections here and there. However, we feel that these points are which adds charm and character to a piece.
