Rare 18th Century Old Sheffield Plated Tea Pot

Description

A rare late 18th Century Old Sheffield Plated tea pot. Bearing no makers mark very much in the George II style. This example probably dates from c1770-1790. With beautiful embossed floral decoration and highly stylised spout. With a blank cartouche to one side.

The condition is very good overall with no dents or splits. Some copper bleed to the raised edges and pattern and quite discolored to the interior.

Weight approx 600g.

Height approx 19cm.

Total span approx 26cm.

Base diameter approx 9.5cm
