Description

An antique mid 19thC continental style polished birch snuff box c1860. The interior base and interior of the lid are lined with tortoiseshell. The top of the lid is decorated with a chequer pen work pattern. The wooden hinge is integral and works perfectly. Probably originally made in Northern Europe - possibly Germany, Denmark or Sweden. The snuff box is charming, has beautiful colour and patina and will embellish any snuff box collection.
