Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch is the calibre 355 automatic bumper movement and the serial number dates this accurately, this is classed as a Mark 1 being one of the earliest of its kind, it is also the very first Omega with date.
The oscillating weight makes a partial rotation before "bumping" into a cushioning spring.
The dial is original, it has not been restored or retouched.
It measures 34mm in diameter excluding the winding crown.
It also has the Omega symbol on the original winding crown and a genuine Omega buckle.
A new glass has been fitted and the case has been professionally polished so it is in superb condition.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
