Tinker & Toad has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The lower section decorated with a lattice style urn filled with an array of apples, peaches and pineapples. The outer frame stylised with a mixture of beading, small shells and with egg and dart design. The whole sits on a wooden ebonised frame. In good condition with a nice patine and some foxing to the mirror plates which adds to its overall charm. Provenance: From Airlie Gardens, Holland Park The home of Herbert Olivier (1861-1952), Edwardian artist, traveller and uncle to Sir Lawrence Olivier.
