Hingstons of Wilton has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
This Victorian inlaid rosewood side-table was made circa 1885-1900.
Rosewood has always been a desirable and expensive timber to use when making fine furniture.
The ability to be able to own such fine timbers, gave visitors any doubt how successful the Victorian family were.

This side-table with its butterfly flaps makes a delightful table that can be used is various situations around the home.
The drop flaps that are to each end of the table have decorative panels inlaid with ivory and boxwood. Underneath the table is a platform that makes a shelf that joins the finely turned legs.

82cms wide flaps up 32ins
36cms deep 14ins
69cms high 27ins
50cms wide flaps down 20ins
All dimensions are approximate, whilst we take as much care as possible, we can be marginally out.
