Regency Mahogany Side Forward Davenport Circa 1820

19th century
Description

Fine quality Regency figured mahogany davenport with side forward writing top with leather lined lift to reveal pigeon holes at back. Brass gallery. Fitted with four side mahogany lined drawers to right and dummy drawers to left. Old but not original brass knobs. Has all the original Bramah locks all locking with the same key, Raised on flat bun feet with hidden brass casters. All in very fine original condition with no repairs but slight shrinkage crack through dummy drawers. Great rich colour with fine waxed patina.

Size; 33" high, 21" wide, 22" deep.
