Antique Georgian Mahogany Snap Top Table

19th century
Description

An excellent original antique George III period snap top occasional table in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1790’s period.

This is of superb quality and it’s a great size. The circular mahogany top has a gorgeous colour tone and wonderful grain patterns. This sits on a beautiful spiral turned base with tripod legs & pad feet, the top can tilt up and is held in place by a brass catch mechanism.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are just some minor marks and indentations here and there, commensurate for age.
