Technical Description
A very fine Victorian engraved wine goblet dating to c1880.
It has a large round funnel bowl with a detailed floral band of roses and leaves above a wide field of diamonds, crosscut at the intersections. Sits above a well balanced stem with two hollow cushion knops and a large slice cut large basal knop. Star cut foot.
The workmanship would point to either Stevens & Williams or perhaps Richardson. Either way one of the finest 19th century goblets we have seen in some time.
Part of an exclusive private collection of 19th century glass that Exhibit will be presenting over the coming months.
