This Edwardian revolving bookcase was made circa 1900.

The colour of the top is slightly darker than shown due to the showroom lighting.

The top with the central circular feature panel of flame mahogany, and a further stringing and cross-banding. These features make this so much more elegant, something you would expect of this elegant era.

This is a high-end example, where the base has the cast iron supports that were originally fitted to stop the wobble. Most revolving bookcases do not have this type of base and so can be quite unstable when the are filled with books, this system was designed to alleviate this.
