Vintage upholstery in a rose gold Regency stripe silk. Superb giltwood frames with extensive carved detail, note the scrolling acanthus terminals to the arms and laurel frieze running below the seat. Raised on tapering carved and fluted legs front and rear. Original maker's labels for 'Waring et Gillow Ltd' 8 Rue Gluck Paris to the underside of both chairs. Presented as found in very good condition. Original gilded finish a little worn and rubbed through in places. Clean and perfectly serviceable upholstery with just very some minor wear.
