Pair of Bentwood Armchairs by Mundus C.1910

1900 - 1920
Description

Good pair of early 20th.c. bentwood armchairs by Mundus of Vienna c.1910. Curving backrests and arms on bentwood supports over 18" diameter seats panels with pressed decoration. Legs swept outwards at the foot for extra stability and joined with hoop stretchers. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Maker's stamp to the underside of the frame. Mundus were merged with the manufacturers Kohn in 1914.
