A 19th century mahogany cased travelling/explorers compass. It was made by Negretti & Zambra and stamped on the paper compass face.
They were London Scientific instrument makers
.It has brass hinges and a brass locking clasp and in good working order. These Explorer''s compasses were popular during the early to mid 1800''s when people went on their trav.
