Description

Here we have this fine example of a very rare Edwardian (circa 1910) Mahogany 2 door wall hanging cupboard with Arts & Crafts influences throughout. This unique cupboard features a 2 tier open shelf top which finishes to a small cupboard base. The 2 cupboard doors are complete with their 2 original brass edge latches and original lock with key and brass polished keyhole escutcheon to front.

The lovely cupboard doors are made with flame grain Mahogany to the fielded panel centre which is framed by a moulded edge complete with a slam strip to the centre. The sides of the shelf are fret-worked in the typical Arts & Crafts style which is tied together with the shaped top pediment and the lower frieze.

This cupboard is in an outstanding original condition featuring its original beautiful lightly faded french polished finish with a lovely rich Mahogany colour. We have just carefully cleaned and waxed this cupboard, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents. However, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
