~ French - Circa 1870 ~

~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A large, superb and very decorative original antique French clock by Vincenti. It is boldly modelled in the Rococo style in finely gilded bronze. Waisted shaped case, decorated profusely with acanthus leaves and 'C' scrolls. The front is finely pieced allowing the pendulum to be seen swinging within. To the top is a large elaborate urn with a Rococo finial. It is of lovely quality, heavily made but with a crisp, light design.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with bronze centre finely cut and blued steel hands.

The French movement is of high quality and is by Vincenti et Cie. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. Dial is in excellent condition with no damaged.

Vincenti clockmaker's mark on the movement backplate

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
