An impressive and superbly carved early 18th Century Spanish Giltwood and Polychrome Mirror, made for an important family of the period with a painted coat of arms to the base having a crown above. The crest with the initials A M probably meaning Ave Maria and relating to the virgin Mary with a hart below.
Above and to the sides are beautifully carved and painted putti. The whole surrounded by flowing scrolls and foliate.
