A Classic 20 Drawer Collectors Cabinet by Messrs Watkins & Doncaster. Circa 1890

Description

A classic watkins & doncaster 20 drawer deal and mahogany entomological collectors cabinet circa 1890 containing a collection of british moths, (the cabinet can be supplied with or without the collection.

This cabinet originated from watkins and doncaster in the strand, london and was sold again from the welling, kent address and found it's way to the hawkhurst address. All plates are still attached.

All very original with original lock and key and glass to the mahogany door. All the drawers are fitted with close fitting glazed tops and run smoothly.

Drawers all base lined .a layer of cork and papered over

Width. 20.5 inches.

Front to back. 18.5 inches.

Drawers.

Width. 17 inches.

Front to back. 15 inches.

Overall depth. 2 inches. (to accommodate imperial pins).
