Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this 18th Century Flintlock Pistol to the 18th Century.
The pistol with a long barrel, the cannon form barrel with a rounded and ring muzzle, with further ring banding, as it tapers outward toward the flintlock mechanism, the body decorated with scrolled leaf engraving, and the makers name 'THOMAS'. The trigger guard engraved with a petal head, before the walnut grip.
Date circa 1770.
