Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the late 1920s and Art Deco era, gemstone rings often combined traditional carved mountings with vibrant coloured gemstones like garnets and accent diamonds, creating structured five-stone or boat-shaped settings.

These rings typically feature solid gold alloys, such as 9-carat or 18-carat yellow or rose gold, set with natural garnets and accent diamonds secured within carved scrollwork or pierced galleries.

Authentic pieces usually bear period hallmarks inside the band indicating gold purity, assay office, and year mark, alongside characteristic hand-carved galleries and rose-cut or old-cut accent stones.

A vintage garnet ring works as a standalone accent piece on the index or middle finger, or layered alongside modern plain gold bands to highlight its intricate carved detail.

Clean gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush, avoiding ultrasonic cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the gemstone mountings or vintage settings.
