Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Originally part of a bedstead, now makes a wonderful feature headboard. It is of generous proportions at 168cm wide, so would work well with a king-size divan, or could even work for 2 singles pushed together.

Good condition. Beautiful patina and good colour. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Holes to bottom of legs where original side rails would have fitted. Originally part of a bedstead.
