Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the George III period from 1760 to 1820, copper kettles were standard domestic hearth vessels, typically crafted by hand with brazed seams, thick copper plating, gooseneck spouts, and brass handle mounts.

These pieces were formed from sheet copper with cramp-jointed or dovetailed seams along the lower rim and body. Handles were reinforced with cast brass mounts and frequently fitted with turned wood or bone grips to protect against heat conductivity.

Period items display visible hand-dovetailed seams along the construction joints, heavy metal weighting, irregular hand-hammering marks, and authentic cast brass or iron fittings rather than modern machine-stamped fastenings.

A vintage copper kettle can be positioned on a kitchen island, integrated into a dresser display, or set upon a fireplace hearth to add warm metallic tones and historical texture to contemporary room schemes.

Clean the surface gently using warm water and mild detergent without harsh chemical agents. A light application of microcrystalline wax preserves the natural oxidisation and historic surface patina while protecting against moisture.
