A Stunning Large Victorian Nailsea Glass Vase

Description

A stunning and large Victorian Nailsea vase. This superb example is one of a pair, which can be purchased as a single if required. The price given is for one and the other can be negotiated for separately. The body is tall and tapering with the trademark 'pulled feathering' in white. The rim is undulating and frilled. The base is domed with a folded foot for stability and a broken pontil mark.

Nailsea glass originated in Somerset in 1788, with production spreading all over England by the Victorian period. A fabulous pair of vases, that can be purchased as singles or as a pair. As stated, the price given is for one. Unfortunately due to the size, only UK delivery is offered. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no cracks or chips.

Date :- c1870.

Origin :- English. .
