Antique Chippendale Style Mahogany Leather Top Desk

Description

A top quality antique Chippendale Style leather top desk in mahogany, dating from around the 1890-1910 period.

It is extremely well made and is a very useful size. It is not too imposing, with plenty of work space on the tooled leather top. The drawer fronts have beautiful moulding on the corners, the mahogany has acquired a gorgeous patina and has stunning grain patterns. There is plenty of storage space in the four generous drawers, which are beautifully constructed with fine hand cut dovetailed joints.

We have just had this re-polished, the condition is fantastic for its age, with just the right amount of wear and plenty of character.

Height – 31 inches , 79 cm

Knee height – 22 inches , 56 cm

Knee width – 21 inches , 53 cm
