Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the Second World War, the British bulldog became a prominent national symbol representing tenacity and defiance, frequently depicted alongside the Union Jack flag in wartime illustration and artwork.

Artwork from this era was commonly produced using pastel, charcoal, or lithographic print on paper or board, housed within dark-stained wooden frames with protective glass fronts.

Authentic pieces from the 1940s usually feature period-correct paper age toning, traditional frame backing tape or small metal nails, and historical artist signatures or publisher marks.

This type of artwork functions well as part of a gallery wall, positioned above a desk in an office, or displayed on a mantelpiece alongside vintage brass or timber accents.

Framed prints and original works on paper should be kept away from direct sunlight to prevent pigment fading and stored in environments with stable humidity to avoid paper warping.
