AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY PERSIAN BORCHALU VILLAGE RUG. HAS A NICE CENTRAL IVORY GROUND COLOUR WITH THE HERATI PATTERN IN STIFF FOLIAGE AND LEAVES. LIGHT ABRASHED RED MAIN BORDER AS A CONTRAST. THE WOOL IS TOUGH AND LUSTROUS.

HAS BEEN HAND WASHED LAST THREE IMAGES,OVER 28 IMAGES OF RUG.

ALL OVER GOOD EVEN PILE. SELVEDGE FRINGES BOTH ENDS,EVEN WITH DARK BROWN SIDE CORDS.

SIZE IS 4 FOOT 7 INCHES BY 3 FOOT 3 INCHES. 140CM X 99CM. AT WIDEST POINTS. SELVEDGES NOT MEASURED IN SIZE. LUSTROUS WOOL PILE HAND KNOTTED ONTO COTTON FOUNDATIONS WITH THE WEFT THREADS DYED LIGHT PINK.
