I love the quality of this beautiful handmade silk needlework from the early 18thc....the colours are still very vibrant and the skill of the needleworker is so good as she has mixed in brass wirework with the silkwork....it must have taken a very long time to make and when you consider the poor lighting , it makes you realise how clever these skilled people were....in excellent condition for its age.
