18th C Delft Tobacco Jar 'St Vinsent'

Description

An 18th Century Delft Tobacco Jar with an outward rolled rim, over the ovoid body, tapering to the slightly inward domed foot. The underside with makers mark of ‘MQ’.

The jar decorated with an oval reserve of flowers and leaves emerging form the line border, enclosing the title ‘ST VINSENT’.

The brass cover with an acorn finial and spire body, finished with a ringed and stepped rim.

Date circa 1750.
