Stunning Small Antique English Tortoiseshell & Sterling Silver Pocket Watch Stand - 1893

Description

A really charming little pocket watch stand made from a glorious piece of antique tortoise shell, with stunning markings and colourings from golden champagne to rich chocolate brown being showcased through it's shiny patina.

The holder stands on a folding easel back with a partial hallmark, matching the full hallmark to the sterling silver mount for Birmingham 1893. The makers initials are also present, L & S for the well renowned silversmith Levi & Salaman.

The silver mount higher up is where the little hook is to hang one's delicate pocket watch. Excellent condition, standing 3 1/8" tall including it's two little ball feet x 1 7/8" wide at base narrowing to 1 3/8" at the top.
