Unusual American Sterling Silver Match Striker, Circa 1900

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very unusual medium-sized American silver mounted match striker. Made circa 1900, the clear glass spherical body mounted on a sterling silver pedestal base. The base embossed with a floral garland within a bluebell border. The underside with a textured metal base acting as a striker.

Marked Sterling

Condition:

Glass in good condition, minor scratches, commensurate with age and use.

Silver base in very good condition.

Dimensions:

Height: 6cm / 2.4 inches.

Base diameter: 6.5cm / 2.5 inches.
