Digby Antiques (Wiltshire) has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
Wooden handle, most likely ebony, with a steel shaft and two steel keys. The second key is marked with the figure two presumably this is the size.
Refers to this type of key being the Garengeot and is of English manufacture and origin. Circa 1770 in date.
The steel is in super condition and rare to find one with two claws. There is damage to one end of the handle, please see photograph.
