The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a nicely jewelled Cyma 998 Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
In 1881 the company started importing movements from Switzerland, such as the one we have in this particular watch. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 51.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Thomas Russell model made by the Illinois Watch Case Company. is in good condition, light surface marks and a small “ding to the back, nothing serious at all.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens over a signed double sunk dial with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. The dial is in nice condition.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
