A Stunning Quality Victorian Period Burr Walnut and Ormolu Mounted Centre Table

Description

A stunning quality Victorian Period burr walnut and ormolu mounted centre table. The oval top veneered in the finest burr walnut and having a trailing harebell inlaid border with tulipwood banding and moulding. The frieze also in burr walnut and tulipwood with ormolu rosettes and beading. Raised on a turned walnut column with four swept supports and pad feet, again with fine quality ormolu mounts. Although not stamped, this table is firmly attributable to Gillows Of Lancaster. We have owned several variants of this table in the past and they were all stamped Gillows, Lancaster. English circa 1870-1880, stunning condition

Dimensions: 54" wide x 40" deep x 29" high
