Rare Edwardian Silver Mounted Green Glass Match Striker by Schindler & Co, London 1907

Description

This very unusual, Edwardian silver small match striker was made by Schindler & Co and is dated London 1907. The finely ribbed glass spherical body a delicate apple green colour. Mounted with an unusual reeded, fully hallmarked silver rim.

Hallmarks:

D L for Schindler & Co (David Loebl)

Date letter "m" for 1907.

Lion Passant.

London Assay Mark.

Dimensions:

Diameter: 4cm / 1.4 inches.

Height: 4cm / 1.4 inches.

Condition:

Fair.

Silver rim with minor dints, commensurate with age.

Glass in reasonable condition with a few minor flea bites/
