An extremely rare pair of portrait plaques depicting JOSIAH WEDGWOOD and THOMAS BENTLEY .
Frames are of the period and in wonderful original condition .
Wedgwood asked that these portrait medallions only be sold as a pair , not individually , Bentley being his partner . It is nevertheless a rare find to find them still together and in their original frames and in wonderful condition , Impressed Wedgwood for Circa 1790.
The plaques are 10 x 7.5 cms , the frame sizes are below .
