Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Bohemian Art Deco glassware from this period is characterised by strong geometric shapes, high-contrast enamel decoration, and acid-etched pattern work. Glassmakers in Czechoslovakia embraced modernism, producing vessels with clean angular lines, stylized arcs, and vibrant colour combinations.

These pieces were typically crafted from thick moulded or blown clear glass. Decorative elements were created using acid etching to texture the surface, followed by the hand application of vitreous enamel paints that were fired onto the glass body to permanently fuse the colours.

Authentic pieces exhibit heavy lead or crystal glass weight, sharp geometric cuts, and characteristic contrast between clear glass, frosted etched panels, and black or primary enamel accents. Many examples feature unpolished acid-etched bases or maker marks associated with regional Bohemian glassworks.

Display the vessel on a sideboard, mantelpiece, or open shelving unit where light can pass through the clear and coloured glass sections. It functions effectively as a standalone decorative accent or positioned alongside period modern lighting and minimalist furnishings.

Clean gently by hand using lukewarm water and a small amount of mild liquid soap. Avoid abrasive sponges, dishwashers, and harsh chemicals, as these can wear down or scratch cold-painted or fired surface enamel over time.
