Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The ovoid body of the jar tapering to the foot. The slightly inward curved base with a makers mark 'P' for Jan Pennis. The body with an attractive reserve of hops and flowers, emerging from the scrolled and leaf framing the centre title 'NO 8'.
Date circa 1780.
