A delightful multi-purpose box made from exotic Rosewood and dating to the early nineteenth century, around 1830/1835, making this William IV in period.

The box is beautifully decorated with Mother of Pearl inlay and Pewter stringing, a popular combination during this period, and highly sought-after today.

The interior has a removable tray, so perhaps would lend itself well as a Jewellery box. It has been re-lined created a clean and fresh finish and is ready to use. Complete with a tasselled working key, it remains in excellent condition.

11" x 8" x 4 1/2" tall.
