This fascinating collection of over thirty flake tools from the Neolithic (10000 BC - 2200 BC) was found on June 3rd 1943 and August 4th 1944 by a D Woodhouse. Many of the flakes carry notation (initials and the date on which they were found). An accompanying label provides us with the collector''s surname and the field in which the flakes were found - unfortunately, their handwriting at this point becomes harder to decipher, however, it could well be ''Turners field''.
