A 19th century bronze bust of Minerva, after the antique. Minerva was the goddess of wisdom, arts and learning. She was one of the three major deities of ancient Greece and Rome. The daughter of Jupiter and sister of Hebe. Minerva was also associated with civilised war and fighting for just causes. This 40cm sculpture of Minerva is on a socle plinth, square base and marble plinth. It is in good condition
