Antique William IV Mahogany Writing Table

Description

A fantastic original antique William IV period writing desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around 1830-1840.

It is of superb quality and is extremely well made. It sits on finely turned baluster legs on original porcelain casters. There are two drawers and an inset leather top which has been hand coloured and gold tooled.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are just some very minor marks and indentations here and there under the polish, commensurate for age.

Depth – 21 inches , 54 cm

Height – 29 inches , 74 cm

Knee height – 23 inches , 58 cm
