Description

An extremely good quality medal.

This is a beautifully cast medal with great detail to both the front and the back.

The front reads The British Dairy Farmers Association, founded 1876.

The reverse depicts a cow and a goat.

Around the edge it is engraved with Awarded to B Wayte for proficiency in dairy farming and dairying.

Late 19th century, silver coloured metal. Presented in its original box J A Restall, Birmingham who were well known medal makers. Red leather box and silk and velvet interior. Presentation box is in excellent order.

Medal measures diameter 4.8 cm. Depth 0.3 cm
